The Man-slator: UN x Sid Lee
Partnered with Sid Lee, we were given an UN Brief to address gender inequity in the context of COVID-19.
We found, in the workplace men often are ignorant or don’t understand the impacts of subtle sexism ingrained in their language from a patriarchal society.
So, taking experiences from real women we developed the Man-slator. A digital tool that brings awareness to the every day sexist language men may be using in the workplace.

Women can share sexist phrases and content they interact with everyday and translate the true pain behind them.
Using this data, we partnered with Grammarly (a grammar and tone checking tool) to directly pinpoint and address sexist commentary in the workplace, powered by real experiences by women.
We then took the data to make a VR data visualization of the sexism phrases and data collated.
An immersive visual experience to feature the sexism women face daily in the workplace.
